Kootenay Conservation Program

The Kootenay Conservation Program is a collection of over 50 groups and agencies in the Kootenays dedicated to conserving natural areas for Kootenay communities. Networking helps them to find win-win approaches to ecosystem conservation and stewardship on private and adjacent Crown lands. In this way they hope to maintain and, in some cases, restore the rich biological, economic, and social heritage of the Kootenays.
