Columbia Basin Watershed Network Interactive Map
In partnership with Columbia Basin Trust’s Water Initiatives Program, the purpose of this mapping service is to host spatial data pertaining to watershed management within the Columbia Basin. This watershed information system will benefit watershed networks, community groups, and citizens of the Columbia Basin, who will be able view, query and display relevant datasets using the SGRC’s online mapping application. Key GIS data layers are publiclly accessible through the SGRC’s Internet service which contains current, quality-controlled spatial layers with access to supplemental water management resources.
Columbia River Basin Biodiversity Atlas
The Atlas has been developed with geographic information system (GIS) technology to provide information on biodiversity and help people learn, understand, and make decisions.
Data Basin is a free, online system that connects users with spatial datasets, tools, and expertise. Individuals and organization can explore and download a vast library of datasets, upload their own data, create and publish analysis, utilize working groups, and produce customized maps that can be easily shared.
This is the gateway to provincieal geographic information and services.
Hectares BC is a pilot project to test the concept of a new tool for geospatial data analysis in the natural resource area. The provincial government has a wealth of geospatial data but limited staff and tools for its analysis. Hectares BC allows scientists, researchers, government and others to access and work with geographic information without the need for GIS skills to carry out planning, assessment, reporting and decision making functions.
