About CMI
The Columbia Mountains Institute of Applied Ecology (CMI) is a non-profit group whose purpose is to improve ecological management by increasing and sharing knowledge about the ecology of southeastern BC. We do this by connecting people working in the various fields of applied ecology (natural resource practitioners, managers, researchers, educators, academics, stewardship groups, etc.) through conferences, forums, courses, workshops and on-line networking. For a list of past CMI events see here
Our vision: Outstanding natural resource management through building and sharing knowledge about the ecology of the Columbia Mountains and its associated regional ecosystems.
Acknowledgement: We would like to acknowledge and honour the four nations on whose traditional land we gather and do our work: the Sinixt, the Ktunaxa, the Secwepmec and the Syilx.
